| DESIGN NAME: The Space with Humble Philosophy PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: White, gray and wooden colors compose the main visual tone in the space. The colors composition can be seen as spatial backdrop which can enlarge the space and have great illumination efficiency. The designer has made a lot of hard work to consider the visual effects on different directions when passing through the path spaces. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a compact interior design for a residential space. The owner is an amiable kind of person, likes to collect comic dolls. Therefore, the designer's main strategy for this project is that how to arrange the demonstration of some details to enlarge the spatial feelings, and fulfill the owner's characteristics and the collection hobby. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The random arrangement of cubes on the showcases can generate the brisk atmosphere. This spatial strategy can also stretch the horizontal visual effect and enlarge the living room. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in 2016 in Taiwan. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The visual process from the entry hall to the living room, the designer can establish some showcases of the comic dolls on the turning way to catch the visual attention. This spatial strategy not only can create some interesting visual focuses for the experience of passing through, and also can enhance the fluent feelings when passing through the path spaces. This is an efficient way that you will ignore the restrained feelings when you turning through the path way. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This space is square meters. TAGS: Interior Design, Residence RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The other spatial strategy to enlarge the space is the demonstration of the walls from the reading room. The walls are decorated by the comic dolls shelves with the combination of wood and glass materials, which can link the spaces of the reading room, the restaurant and the living room. Other than the demonstrating function, the most special part of these wall shelves is that the designer tries to create some curve faces, and connect with the glass wall between the restaurant and the living room. CHALLENGE: By doing that can effectively stretch the horizontal visual effect from the reading room, and tangibly enlarge the whole space. In this project, several spatial disadvantages can be transformed as the unique features.
