Korean BBQ Shop
INSPIRATION:
Recently South Korea culture has become popular all around the world, thanks to Korean dramas, barbecue shops has become the new fashion trade of restaurant marketing.
Modern fashion bar combined with Traditional Korean BBQ Shop
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Recently South Korea culture has become popular all around the world, thanks to Korean dramas, barbecue shops has become the new fashion trade of restaurant marketing.
Modern Fashion Bar combined with traditional Korean BBQ Shop.
Starting from the thought of innovating of tradition, designers tried to keep the old traditional design way, and mix with KPOP youth modern style, by using Loft style in basic, design modern fashion bar combined with traditional Korean BBQ shop, by using the contrast of light and dark tone wood colors, let the space looks simple but not colorful.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Korean's eating culture is different from Chinese's. They use different scale which is shorter than the average.

started in April 2016 and finished in August 2016 in Taoyuan

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
On the fourth floor, designers specially used range hood which imported from Korea. The special UFO-look design made it not just a range hood, but also a stylish decoration of the space. On the fifth floor, designers applied side suction hood, which can effectively dealing with cooking oil fume, and save more space.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The project is about mending an old building. Because it is surrounded by many kinds of restaurant, "how to be unique?" is a lessen we are dealing with.
CHALLENGE:
There's only 6 months that we designed the restaurant but our customer was hesitate about everything and it became a lot of work. The restaurant is at the 3rd floor, so we need to be noticed, be extraordinary.

As a design enthusiast, I am absolutely mesmerized by the creativity and beauty of Cheng Hui Hsin's work on the Koreapalace. The clever use of colors and textures creates a visually captivating and inviting atmosphere that perfectly captures the essence of a Korean BBQ Shop. Every element in the interior is carefully placed to provide the utmost comfort and delight for customers. It is obvious that a lot of attention to detail was given to this project and it truly shows in the finished product. I am truly in awe of Cheng Hui Hsin's amazing work and I congratulate them for receiving the A' Design Award!

Koreapalace is a stunning example of good design and an impressive accomplishment in Interior Space and Exhibition Design. The combination of modern and traditional aesthetics, and the contrast of light and dark tones, is beautifully executed to create an inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail, such as the special UFO-look range hood and side suction hood, shows the level of care and craftsmanship that was put into the design. I'm amazed by the creative vision that has gone into this award-winning work. It is truly inspiring to see Cheng Hui Hsin's work "Koreapalace" win the A' Design Award. Their unique concept to combine traditional Korean BBQ shop with modern fashion bar using the contrast of light and dark tone wood colors is a brilliant idea. It is amazing to see how they innovated on tradition and managed to create a space that looks simple yet not colorful.
