DESIGN NAME: Careful!
PRIMARY FUNCTION: labyrinth Toy
INSPIRATION: Nowadays traditional toys have been continuously replaced by multimedia equipments, so that traditional toys face the challenge to be developed and handed on to the next generation.
Labyrinth toy is such a traditional toy. To change it, we regarded the fixed labyrinth route as the key to innovate. By using magnets, magnetic material and additional parts, we change it to a flexible and playable multiplayer toy to adapt it to the trend of the times.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Careful is a flexible balance-labyrinth toy. The labyrinth can be self made by players through the layouts of magnetic wood pieces. The degree of difficulty varies with the number of inserted cylinders. Players need to be very careful to tilt the small ball to the right direction.
Carful is a prison-made product . Therefore, each part of Careful is designed for simple manufacture. The old labyrinth toy is thus renewed.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The game rules:
The purpose of the game is to control the balance, to guide the small ball from „start point“ to the „end point“, avoiding all the traps
The „Game“ before Game: 1. Before the player starts the game, the player needs to place the magnetic wood pieces on the board and set the route for the ball.
2. To adjust the difficulty of the game, the player can decide, where to insert the small cylinders and block the traps.
3. Determine the „start point“ and „end point“ of the game.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: February, 2017, Munich.
