This brings newness to the alcoholic beverages packaging itself and interactive aspect for the customer as the packaging itself is designed with ‘marble stone’ pattern which will dissolve and stay put to the wine bottle and together create a custom-made product.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:

The packaging is designed with a special material with different marble patterns that will dissolve when it is poured into hot water. This is a perfect gift for the recipient will get to experience a new way of opening a wine package where they got to create their own custom-made wine bottle before enjoying drinking the alcoholic beverages that are served warm.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The purpose of this research is to identify the interesting way to open alcoholic beverages packaging. By using a variety of meltable materials and different ways of heating, the dissolvable plastic material is the most suitable and stabilizing material. Aside from the stereotype of opening packaging, our overall approach was to create a uniqueness and novelty value packaging which can present the characteristics of the product combined with the way the to open the packaging at the same time.

CHALLENGE:
The most difficult part of the design was figuring how to manipulate the material to the desired thickness, shape, and texture yet we need to make sure it does not blister. The sloped design on the top will indirectly subjective to the amount of hot water stay on the material to the desired thickness, shape, and texture yet we need to make sure it does not blister. The sloped design on the top will indirectly subjective to the amount of hot water stay on the cover and effectively affect the final presentation of the design.
