| DESIGN NAME: V Light Collection PRIMARY FUNCTION: Jewelry INSPIRATION: The main concept in designing this collection is the superiority of spiritual values over material desires which surrounded us. Jewelry as a small symbol of external superficial beauties shows our tendency to this material world...But the light in a metaphor of real human values which have been forgotten .In this collection i have intended to illustrate jewels which have been burnt by the power of inside light. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In designing this collection I combined jewels with light,This jewels were made of Brass and small LED lamps.I used the Persian literature and poems as the main source of inspiration. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: this project started in January 2016 in Tehran and finished in March 2016 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This collection is completely handmade, Thess necklaces were made of brass ,it was melted to create bionic forms. this jewels were illuminated by small LED lamps and batteries. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: light, jewelry ,contemporary jewelry, conceptual art RESEARCH ABSTRACT: One of the main subjects in the Persian culture and literature is negation of material values .All of the famous poets and writers encouraged people to think about human values...But unfortunately these days people become imprisoned by this material world ...It was the start of my research for this project.I studied lots of Persian poems in depth with this subject.finally I used light as a metaphor of spiritual values ...This light can destroy all the external and superficial beauties even jewelry... CHALLENGE: The main challenge in this project was the combination of technology and jewelry as I did not want that this collection seems technological.
