Mirante Paineiras Restaurant
Even though the building was not designated as a historic site, Kube Arquitetura opted to keeping the original materials as a valorization of the antique construction. The floors and tiles were preserved: symbols of the town’s history told through the architecture. Kube designed copper lamps, a wooden counter, black square-lined doors and two wooden trees that bring a sophisticated and contemporary feeling to the original elements of the space.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The idea behind the projects for Paineiras-Corcovado was not only to integrate the center with the visitors, but also to unite it to the nature around it and reveal the forest for those visiting Christ the Redeemer, offering infrastructure for the 10 thousand daily visitors that await their turn to see the statue.
