| DESIGN NAME: Mib PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lamp series INSPIRATION: Simple well defined geometric shapes, circles and straight lines interacting with each other. Simple graphic design, signposting and monospaced letters. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The MIB series is based on the same metal shade, no matter if it is pendant, wall, table or floor lamps. The objective has been to design a simple, almost primitive series of lamps - and at the same time have the maximum flexibility in regards to direction of the light itself. Therefore the shade / lamp head is both tilt / swivel / turnable. The light source is set back in the shade to avoid blinding. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Simple on / off and dimming. The lampshade can be tilted, turned and swiveled to direct the light exactly where you need it. The simple expression and multi functionality makes the MIB extremely useful in all applications from private settings to restaurants, hotels, studios, coffee shops and chain stores. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The first design was introduced 2005, the latest in 2017 in Denmark. It was exhibited in Light & Building, Stockholm Furniture Fair, Euroluce Milan and more. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Traditional lo tech metal work like spinning, milling, welding. Materials are powder coated steel - the shade is always white inside. GU10 LED light source.
