DESIGN NAME: The Pavilia Hill
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Premium Condominium Landscape
INSPIRATION: People live with hardly any nature in urban environment, and face various pressures every day, so it is necessary for them to have a healing space at home to release mental and physical stress. There is a Zen word “San Sui Ni Sei On Ari”, which means in nature of mountain and river people can hear clear and pure sound. Under this design concept, we hope that people can live a spitually fulfilled life enclosed by nature in Pavilla Hill even in urban environment.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The design combined the straight line representing urban elements and the curved line representing nature elements. Nature waves are expressed by large nature stone planter and walls, while urban elements are expressed by black granite stones. In this way, we try to unify the two into one beautiful space. In meditation room, water falling down from celling and expending waves, making it possible to enjoy this space not only visually but also acoustically by hearing the sound.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Firstly, we understand the site of Pavilla Hill is located between mountain and sea, right on the boundary of nature and the city. Based on this, we conduct a research to figure out how to create a space which let people feel as if they are living in nature rather than in the artificial urban environment.
CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge in this project is how to create a landscape with a richness of spirituality as well as a richness of materials. In other words, how to create an art space where people can feel nature and enrich their mind.
