| DESIGN NAME: Mempbox PRIMARY FUNCTION: Set top box INSPIRATION: Inspiration from Memphis Style who produced many memorable pieces of colorful, bright, and innovative furniture, lighting, and textiles, and even clocks. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Existing set top boxes were normally designed and produced as low price materials and its appearance were unattractive and look cheap because they only do functional output, so most of the users put them in a secret place or just hide it. Moreover, due to different interior design style, It is hard to unify OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Modern interior design is fully focused on white color, but a majority of the set top box are black color. Moreover, people will hide it out of version. This Mempbox fits well into many contemporary living spaces with strong color. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Feb 2017 in Shenzhen. This design work was presented for Caldero Electronic which from Leeds UK as a concept design thinking at Mar 2017.
