| DESIGN NAME: Spherical Wheel Luggage PRIMARY FUNCTION: Luggage INSPIRATION: This luggage was inspired by the problems with performance and durability of the current two wheels & four wheels luggage. The biggest question on every new luggage shopper's mind is two wheel or four wheel luggage? Which should you choose? So, how can we get the pros of two wheel and four wheel luggage at the same time and remove their cons? UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Spherical Wheel Luggage is combines the pros of both two wheel & four wheel luggage & has overcome the cons of them. Beside unlimited maneuverability, it has more stability & more space for packing, supports more weight & pressure. Wheels do not get caught in cracks & will be safe from broken off. It has two shock absorber on each wheel, so has very smooth motion on cobblestones. It has piezoelectric generator & can generate electricity using impact induced vibration on cobblestones. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Usage of this luggage is exactly like the others. Although this is very different in terms of maneuverability & functionality and is superior to other luggage because of its wheels. It can move and spin easily in any direction (360 degree spin). you can wheel this luggage beside you, in front of you or behind you as you walk (push or pull it). PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Jan 2017 to Feb 2017 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This is similar to the manufacturing method of a general luggages. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: It can be in any standard size for luggage. TAGS: Luggage, Carry on, Bag, Carrier, Travel, Travel bag, Journey, Spherical wheel, Smart luggage, baggage RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Initially research was conducted to discover problems of current luggage (both two wheel & four wheel). once the problems was discovered, Then many ideas were developed though brainstorming process, evaluated and iterated with peoples review. CHALLENGE: There were not any difficulties.
