| DESIGN NAME: Squadra PRIMARY FUNCTION: Credenza INSPIRATION: Inspired in modern architecture and simple geometry. Squadra presents a combination of transversal and parallel lines contrasted by two different wood species. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In the style of a modern credenza, Suadra features two lateral hinged doors with internal adjustable shelves, and two central deep drawers all of which have soft-closing slides. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Suitable to the living area, Squadra intends to offer a good degree of utility by allowing to storage objects in an efficient and well organized manner. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Developed and produced in 2014 for a private project in Mexico, Squadra was first intended to be an entertainment cabinet for a lounge area. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Squadra has a solid wooden structure reinforced in all structural areas, covered by rich veneer panels of sawed oak and black stained ash. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 220 mm x 60 mm x 75 mm TAGS: Indoor furniture, modern, wooden furniture, cabinet RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The first version of the Squadra was designed and developed in 2015 as an individual furniture piece for a private Customer. CHALLENGE: Two challenges were overcome during the development process, the woodworking at the intersection points, and the design of a solid wood inner-structure to support the cabinet.
