| DESIGN NAME: The Design of Easy Openning PRIMARY FUNCTION: Yogurt Box INSPIRATION: People need to tear off the packaging of box when they use the ordinary yogurt box,but that's so hard,especially for children and the elders.The main cause is that the packaging sticks to the yogurt box,which means it is hard to tear off. So The Lever principle can helps solve the problem. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The easily opened yogurt box has a corner bending down. The corner is on the top surface of the box. This design makes a small seam between yogurt box and packaging,because there is only one corner,it doesn’t affect the capacity at all. And this small seam makes more quickly to find the opening. The corner offers a bigger leveraging point than ordinary yogurt box. So people can tear off the packaging easily and completely through pressing on this corner. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The thumb of one hand pressing the bending corner. And the other hand tore off the package at the opening. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started inFebruary 2017 in Shenyang and finished in March 2017 in Shenyang. |
