| DESIGN NAME: Deli Viet PRIMARY FUNCTION: Vietnamese restaurant INSPIRATION: Inspired by this east meet west cultural heritage, the imagery of the beautiful natural landscape and scenery of Vietnam, we want to embrace this soothing and calming feeling into our design, with a touch of French stylish and fashionable attitude to set out our design principals. We step by step put together a fusion of heritage and modern contemporary and successfully brought this raw, natural but hip designed Viet restaurant to life. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Since this project was taken place in a shopping mall with the constraint of no day light from windows, our team decided to break this limitation by create a relaxing, restful and soothing ambience by bringing the outdoor garden look design into restaurant with a lot of raw wood, rust and plants. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in June 2016 and completed in Dec 2016 in Hong Kong. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Materials : concrete wall, vertical green wall, solid wood wall panel, vintage floor tile and wood shutter SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 2000 SFT TAGS: Deli Vert, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: Time and the triangle-shaped are would be the biggest challenge. Under a rather tight time schedule, the designers have managed to maximize the power of materials and construction configuration and floor planning to overcome the constraints of triangle-shaped layout, and finally succeeded in bringing this soothing garden Viet restaurant to life.
