| DESIGN NAME: Wanda Hotel at Sipsongpanna PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hotel INSPIRATION: By collaboration, I made lighting design for this project. It's located one in the best mountain rainforest resort of Sipsongpanna. The special minority culture attracts me so much that I paid much attention to the local customs and habits. Combined with Dai nationality culture, lighting design creates the night in warm, sweet, delicate and artistic atmosphere, which comprehensively expressed the unique Dai nationality culture to the world. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With a land area of 700mu, this hotel group, one of the best mountain rainforest resort hotel in the world, is composed of three high-end holiday hotels. Combined with Dai nationality culture, lighting design creates the night in warm, sweet, delicate and artistic atmosphere, which comprehensively expressed the unique Dai nationality culture to the world. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Combined with traditional Dai nationality’s culture, a unique mountain rainforest beauty in the night is created by modern technique. Use warm white color as major to create a quiet, sweet and natural lighting scenery. The lighting enhances the Dai Culture of the building and perfectly presents the structure's spiritual meaning. Lighting design not only creates an overall spatial levels and environmental structures, but also strengthens the visual impact, more peaceful and much freer. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Combined with traditional Dai nationality’s culture, a unique mountain rainforest beauty in the night is created by modern technique. Used haca high precision uspro colorimeter to measure the spectral reflectance and color of building’s surface (gold foil) , then got the best option of mixed lighting effect. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Through optical simulation and darkroom test, lamps and lanterns has reached the design requirements and pass through the certification testing by China national quality supervision institutions of Led. Many times of optimized options and experiments which meet China's lighting industry standards TAGS: international hotels, Wanda RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Lighting design not only creates an overall spatial levels and environmental structures, but also strengthens the visual impact, more peaceful and much freer. The customized led lamps balance and soften the lighting effects of niches during the night, fulfill the requirement of high control of quality. Innovative lighting technology is applied, which has realized the perfect combination of lighting with architecture. CHALLENGE: The improvement of luminous efficiency of the second diffuse light and the unifying the hidden light fixture with building matchs the characteristics of the project.
