DESIGN NAME: M Residential
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House
INSPIRATION: In order to provide a quiet and boundaryless ambience for our clients, our main goal and ideas are to integrate the owner's fine collection, and shifting of light and its shadow throughout daytime and seasons, and the green lives the client loves most.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With the concept of transparency and boundary-lessness, the separation between interior/ exterior, light/ dark areas, Openness/privacy of public domain is blurred, only at a short distance of a wall away. On the contrary, emphasis on warmth, privacy, LIVING NATURE of private domain is manifested by practical colors utilization.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The core of design about the restaurant is the central islet, located as the image of waiting and starting of this space. The mixture of coolness and heat is expressed via gold foil coating and titanium coated steel tables at the entrance facing V-shaped bar. Whole length windows in the background add to the ambience of green by introducing indoor plants and outdoor sun, enhanced by the boutique furniture. The sight and full view across large scale window, aids to fusion and interaction between interior setting and outdoor view, constantly changing via different angles of sunlight.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2014.5.1 and finished in 2015.8.15, located in Ji-Lin Rd., Taipei, R.O.C Taiwan.
