| DESIGN NAME: Orchid Dress PRIMARY FUNCTION: Fashion INSPIRATION: The idea behind this design was to create a Dress inspired by nature, inspired by the botanic. The orchid flowers which have been photographed by the designer and later turned into floral patterns for the dresses silhouette. An purpose comes from the mood of the weather, full of contrast, representing the purist and the feminine fashion. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The creative process is very technical, but a given, reality like that of the weather, or the light peculiar to a certain hour of the day, I tried to recall the passage, with the origin source, that has started with the nature before anything else. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: First the operation analysis is done by sketches and illustrated into CAD which later is produced by our atelier tailleur. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Design was made within 1 month. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Hand sewn, hand weaving. Used materials: silk, crepe de chine SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: French model measurments: 38 / US: 6 / INT. M TAGS: Cedress, Gabriel Cetrez, Fashion Design, Luxury, Style, Fashion, Clothes, Dress RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Researched the architecture of nature shapes, lines and floral color palettes which have been later implemented into the dresses silhouettes, devoted to the present style of high fashion. CHALLENGE: To find the appropriate and suitable fabrics of each different outfit and to achieve affordable quality devoted by good fitting. NAME: CEDRESS PROFILE: CEDRESS is a Prêt-à-porter label, founded 2011 by Gabriel Cetrez in Germany. The main aim is to strive against the stream and create unique womenswear collections, with a sophisticated twist. Feminine silhouettes and sharp textures never lose their ease combined with innovative fabric developments, including an artisanal sense to expressive designs. A playful mix of contrast and shape is the key work of the designers collections. |
