| DESIGN NAME: EJOY - Emotional Jewelry On You PRIMARY FUNCTION: Smart Jewelry with Murano Glass INSPIRATION: Ejoy was conceived to be a technological device but also a handcrafted jewel. it is designed and made in Italy with Murano glass and Carrara marble UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Ejoy is a wearable device for fashionable women; it is a collection of technological bracelets beautifully designed and made in Italy with Murano glass and Carrara marble, able to connect your smartphone or smartwatch to the jewel that will act as notifier.Also it has other features such as contactless payment and medical storage for health insurance. On each bracelet you can set different types of vibration and a range of colors by integrated LEDs, which may be associated with different activities in order to identify the type and importance. The customer can customize through our website own device with different type of Murano glass and metals. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The idea is to incorporate into a single wearable device, elegant yet extremely functional, the two key activities related to the world of wearable technology: the ability to monitor vital functions and health, such as heart rate, the pedometer and calories, and at the same time have under control the activities of your smartphone and your daily to-do list without taking the risk of forgetting something PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in June 2016 in Milan / Italy, It was exhibited during the venice desing week in October 2016 and won The WT | Wearable Technologies Innovation World Cup 2017 in February 2017 Munich / Germany. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Murano glass, silver. Inside: leds integrated in the circuit, Bluetooth module and a system for the vibration (vibration motor). The idea is indeed to offer a user-friendly fully functional device but characterized by a beautiful and attractive design, made thanks to the collaboration with "artistic Murano glass". Our goal is to demonstrate how technology and craft can be combined in order to create new useful and trendy products leveraging the power of the "made in Italy" brand and the excellence of Italian craftsmanship. CHALLENGE: We went to Venice to collaborate with artisans. The most difficult phase was to find a simple but elegant shape for our jewelry and search the right patterns of murano glass combined with the right metals colours.
