| DESIGN NAME: Dil Mil PRIMARY FUNCTION: Dating app INSPIRATION: The desire to create a perfect matching tool for meaningful relationships, not just for swiping, but which will be pure as love itself. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: With over millions of matches made, Dil Mil helps people meet the type of dynamic, professional South Asians they'd want to date. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Just after simplified onboarding process, a user already sees a potential match profile. The user does not need to fill long overloaded inputs, all information is parsed through Facebook, Linkedin, and step by step onboarding. Deep search customization criterias are accessible from the home screen and glimpse screen. Matched people are sorted by time, distance and bot matching. The Dil Mil Bot is a unique feature which allows finding potential matches through interaction with the Facebook chat bot. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, After effects, Flinto, UXcam SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: IOS and Android platforms TAGS: IOS, Android, app, UX, UI, white, clean, dating RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We use the Amplitude and UXcam for analytics and performing A/B testing on different segments. We implement new features and enhancements based on the user observation by weekly sprints to fix bugs and improve the app behavior. Also, we use the Appboy in-app message service for introducing and promoting new features. CHALLENGE: To create a really useful tool, with outstanding features as bot matching, without copying existing patterns. The team gathered and figured out how they could leverage technology to create the perfect matchmaking app. Dil Mil asked thousands of South Asians what was most important to them in finding a partner. They sent surveys, placed phone calls, held panels, and tested many different iterations of Dil Mil app, to deliver the best product. |
