| DESIGN NAME: Ekin Bike Patrol PRIMARY FUNCTION: Smart Patrol Bike INSPIRATION: Ekin Bike Patrol is a high-tech mobile enforcement product designed for bicycles. Being suitable for any kind of patrol bikes, Ekin Bike Patrol is aimed to bring order into the traffic and prevent the chaos caused by parking violations. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Ekin Bike Patrol is the first and only smart bike patrol of the world which is capable of automatic number plate recognition and parking violation detection on the move. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Ekin Bike Patrol recognizes every number plate and speed of the vehicles in its sight and detects the parking violations immediately while it is on the move. It inquires all the recognized number plates over the database and generates visual or audio alarms when necessary. Ekin Bike Patrol detects speed and parking violations proving a violation video and photo, and helps the officers to take the appropriate actions in time. Also, Ekin Bike Patrol has high resistance to adverse weather conditions and supports long-term operation due to low power consumption and an uninterrupted power supply. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: All research & development, production and design processes were operated Ekin's headquarter in Istanbul, Turkey. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Ekin Bike Patrol, as the first and only compact smart patrol bike product in the world, is compatible with any kind of bicycle. There is no requirement for any further component to be installed or carried on the bicycle. Thus, Ekin Bike Patrol turns regular police bicycles into smart patrol vehicles that can make number plate recognition and speed and parking violation detections. It detects the vehicles that are on the blacklist by their number plates and generates an audio or visual alarm notification on its tablet application. Also it can detect the vehicles' speed even if it is on the move. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Ekin Bike Patrol offers a versatile application range. The compact design allows to perform parking violation and speed detection and number plate recognition even at areas fixed solutions cannot control and where motored vehicles reach their limits.
