Reception foyer of residential household
Situated among the waterscape outdoors, the curve sculpture was designed to extend to the reception counter indoors, and further to the ceiling, with its vertical and horizontal lines continuing to reach the entrance of the elevator to the residential households.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The interactions between the ceilings, the grounds and the walls create in-between rhythmic dances that sweep across the grounds and extends through the countertop. From the walls to the ceilings, the rhythmic curves continue to sweep across both the interior and the exterior. The mirror image of the rough gray stone over the surface of the lake shows the natural serenity of the lake.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
An elegant curved line was adopted to impact viewer vision in a way that it naturally flew from outdoors to indoors, and further to the entrance of the residential households.

When applied outdoors, regular artificial stones may start to crack and discolor due to strong sun exposure and vaporous contamination, except for special artificial stones from Spain. Hence, the choice of the Spanish ones.
To work around pipelines reserved in the reception counter area, artificial stones laid in elegant curve must be designed to precisely line up the stone materials on the floor, as well as to blend in the pattern on the ceiling – what a technical challenge!
