Workout Silicone Water Bottle
When I noticed water bottle made by PC or plastic will leach out plasticizer & BPA, I try to design a bottle safe enough for my children. So I come up with this silicone water bottle with peanut shape which is good hold & grip.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The smooth smiling curvature design and eye-catching appearance by combination of duo colors, showing a sense of young, energetic and fashionable. Made by 100 % recyclable food grade silicone material, sustaining high low temperature 220deg C ~ -40deg C, safe without any leaching of plasticizer and is BPA free. The soft touch surface coating provides silky feel good hold and grip, its flexibility, elasticity and the center hollow structure feature enable the bottle to workout as hand gripper and light-weight dumbbell.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Is a safe and good hold water bottle for all ages. Soft touch coating on the surface, providing a silky feel. Besides its water bottle usage, it can be used as handgripper or dumbbell.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in 2014 finished in 2015 in Tainan, and was exhibited in 2015 Creative Expo Taiwan as well as 2015 Taipei International Invention Show. Awarded by 2015 GoldenPin Design Award, Taiwan. Design Patent D167870.

Material: Using Silicone as the main material for water bottle is the first of its kind.
Production Tech: Double Sided Color Formation method was menifested.

Double sided Color Formation for silicone material is always a challenge, and a curvature hollow structure in the middle of the bottle was even a much tougher challenge. In order to achieve the good hold and grip shape, eye-catching color planning, a special molding technique applied. This kept the team try and error for many times that finally comes up with the good solution.
