Bubbles emerging during the liquid flow through current conventional funnels are an inspiration to the design. In order to remove these bubbles, the air in the container, taking the liquid in, should be discharged in a controlled manner. Generally we need to lift the funnel up from the container bimanually. Triangle form of the design has various air release gaps which eliminates the need to do mentioned actions. Two different operations are applied to drain and fill for some processed juices.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Hunni is a funnel which eases the flow of the liquid. Due to its triangle form it arranges the air flow through gaps in the borders circular forms and provides a constant/fast flow. Also, its parts can be interlocked when the product is not used so that it occupy less place. The rise on the hopper bottom provides a clean spill by supporting the mouth of the container from which the liquid is poured. With the help of embedded moving filter it can separate the particles while draining the liquid.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Hunni consisting of three fundamental parts gets ready to use by attaching the parts easily. It is seated balanced on three points onto the bottle. Air releases through the gaps between the bottle and the funnel so safe and constant filling is done. If required the filter can be embedded in order to drain the liquids.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The product is designed in Turkey in 2016. Registration process of the design has been going on. Prototypes were produced in Konya, in December, 2016.
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
There are three fundamental parts forming the design. It is recommended to produce these parts via plastic injection method. PP, a healthy material used for kitchen tools, can be used as production material. Entire parts are designed to be cut out of pattern easily.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
Hunni is packaged as demounted in a flat box. The box meausres nearly 130 x 120 x 70 mm. The user can make the product ready to use by attaching the parts easily. The product measures nearly 130 x 120 x 128 mm during the usage.
Funnel, functional, kitchenware, draining
The purpose of the project is to regulate air flow and also ensure a constant filling by providing air release during the liquid filling process. Thus one can do the filling with one hand. On the other hand the size of the funnel makes a significant contribution to the funnel producers in terms of transportation and packing. Occasionally, users need to separate some big particles from the liquids as a pretreatment before filling them into the bottle. To make these two different operations at a time provides great favor in terms of time, labor force and instrument usage. In brief, the design has solved all the problems possible to arise during the filling operation thanks to its simple and plain design.
Fundamental problem definition of the design is to provide filling advantage through the minimal approach and distinction in its form. Because it has a partial form, it can be kept at home and also it reduces transportation costs. Also, the embedded filter provides favour by combining the two different operations into one.
