DESIGN NAME: Tar
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hi-ENd Wireless Loudspeaker
INSPIRATION: Tar loudspeaker is inspired by a Persian string instrument named "Tar". The word "Tar" means "string" in Persian. This instrument is believed to be the main root of modern instruments like Guitar and Electric Guitar. Tar speaker uses a same structure as this instrument to accomplish a resonance-free enclosure.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Tar speaker is equipped with a 10" long-throw woofer capable of reproducing lowest frequencies with high dynamic range and an Air Motion Transfer tweeter with super fast response time for frequencies up to 40Khz to fullfill whole human ear frequency range.The user can simply connect it's cellphone or tablet to the speaker via blutooth and enjoy crystal-clear life-like sound.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Tar speaker with it's unique design and powerful internal DSP and wireless capabilities will enable the music lovers to enjoy every minute of an involving and impressive music experience without going to a music concert hall.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The speaker is made of high density fiber board and Baltic Birch Plywood to enhance the stamina and to reduce the un-wanted resonances. All the parts are CNC-machined.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: "Tar" is designed to give people a unique listening experience while representing the speaker as an eye-catching ground-breaking interior design. To acheieve this the speaker should have a wide frequency range and dynamics with pin-point imaging and power capabality to assure a distortion-free sound in the listening area.
CHALLENGE: Desining a speaker with a good acoustic properties and a good-looking appearance was the main challenge of "Tar" Project. achieving a wide dispersion angel with a narrow baffle on top of "Tar" and sustaining the coherency between the woofer and the tweeter was a big challenge to be overcome.
