| DESIGN NAME: Light Tree PRIMARY FUNCTION: Floor Lamp INSPIRATION: I imagined a lamp like a tree with its branches that move in any direction, able to create a magical atmosphere and impressive light effects. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This tall aluminum floor lamp features five vertical pipes of different height with two junctions, allowing each pipe to rotate its upper part in two different ways, giving this model the look of a tree with rotating branches. It is designed to look like a metal modern sculpture; moreover, you can cover the lights set into the pipes' upper part with filters, projecting text or graphics on the walls and ceiling for an outstanding effect. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The end user can rotate each pipe in two ways like he prefers; moreover he can choose which lights are to be turned on and off, also he can choose their color and adjust light power with a remote control to make them more suitable for any situation. In the main image, from the left: lamp with pipes in default position and white lights; lamp with pipes rotated outward and colored lights; lamp with pipes rotated outward and also rotated in the same direction, with red lights. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This lamp features five vertical pipes of different height joined only by two central disks, one at the base and one thinner at mid-height, for a very clean look. The structure is made of aluminum coated with white gloss varnish; it's available in any other color or with chrome- or gold-plated finish. Glass elements into the pipes' upper part are acid-etched white, slightly recessed in the structure. CHALLENGE: The creative challenge has been to create a lamp that features simple elements with a clean line, but that goes beyond its simple functional and aesthetic role with the possibility to change its shape and the ambience around it, awing the guests and immersing them in a surprising experience.
