DESIGN DETAILS
DESIGN NAME:
Infinito Ring

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Ring

INSPIRATION:
The creation of the Infinito ring was inspired by the architectural lines and elements found in big cities. The roughness of the concrete, the contrast between empty and filled spaces, the brutality and the structures of big metropolises, as well as its flow and continuity, led us to design this piece.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Infinito ring consists of two heavy volumes, kept apart and structured by an outer ring, on an unexpected diagonal axe. The multiple layers and the overlapping elements of the ring form a structure with a high contrast between volumes and voids, creating an intriguing complexity that arouses the curiosity about the productive process of the piece. The two different finishes, with the polished interior and the brushed and oxidized exterior also refers to the inherent contrasts that rise throughout the city environment, with all its antagonistic and chaotic nature.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project was developed in Sao Paulo, Brasil, and it took around 5 weeks from the first roughs to the final piece.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Handmade by means of traditional techniques such as laminating, bending, cutting and welding 950 silver. Polished and oxidized finishing.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
20g / Dimensions (mm): Width 26 x Depth 15 x Height 26

TAGS:
Ring, Silver, brutalist, architecture, oxidized, male, fashion, jewelry, brushed, metal, concrete, city, urban

CHALLENGE:
The production of the ring is the main challenge, once it is a complex exercise of construction, deconstruction and reconstruction, with a lot of steps of high precision, requiring great ability on a handmade process.
