| DESIGN NAME: Fashion Designer's Workshop in Changsha PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Design INSPIRATION: The project is a demonstration unit for the property, the designer proposed the working space for a fashion designer, who would display her design collections, meet with clients and also work here. As the display clothes and accessories are the focus of the interiors, therefore basic materials like concreate wall finish, stianless steel, timber flooring etc were applied to highlight the display items. Modern and elegant atmosphere were designed to upgrade the value of property. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The newly finished demonstration unit incorporates a showroom, gallery, designer's workshop, meeting area, bar, brain-storming balcony, washroom and fitting room within the limited space and budget. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: As it is a demonstration unit for the property, so the designer needed to think an interesting concept and space which would attract more customers to visit and buy the property. Luckily the feedback and sales figure are very good so far. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2016 and finished in September 2016 in Changsha, China. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Timber, concrete wall finish, wall paper, fabric panels, stainless steel are the main materials applied. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: It is a 70 square meter unit. TAGS: Changsha, China, Forte, Showflat, HotKoncepts RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As it is a demonstration unit, therefore the designer needed to realize the local market and type of customers in Changsha. Of course the designer was required to work closely with the marketing team of the client, so that we came up some optional types of office for the client's final decision. Fashion designer's workshop was selected because new designers were exactly market client. They required small offices to start up their business. CHALLENGE: The hardest part of the project is the ceiling height under the beam has only less then 2.3m, the designer needed to think carefully about the ceiling design. Besides, the construction period had only 25 days, therefore we needed to solve and discuss lots of problems with the constructor on site.
