DESIGN NAME: Ferratus Sensations Design
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Label and Packaging
INSPIRATION: The idea is to create a design that remembers the art of contemporary goldsmithing. The design is formed by fine metal lines that wrap the body of the bottle to dress it of elegance and sophistication that remind us the meaning of the Brand name, Ferratus word of the Latin that means made with iron. Jewelery, fashion and avant-garde architecture, are the design criteria with which the image of this wine has been designed
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This design seeks to define a unique and radical graphic identity of the ferratus wine brand, wine from the designation of origin "Ribera del Duero". The label and the packaging represent the confluence between wine and metal, expressed with the forcé and the drama of an artwork.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The vibration and the magnetism of the metallic lines connect the design with the meaning of the Brand name and modifies the perception of the product, connecting the brand with a young and sophisticated audience.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2016 in Burgos ( Spain ) and finished in Febrary 2017 in Santander ( Spain )

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The project seeks to harmonize the traditional image intrinsic to the wine from "Rivera de Duero", with the vanguard image that characterizes the client of the winery. To do this, we associate the meaning of the winery name (Ferratus), which means made of iron, with the image of the bottle corners. The optical effect of dynamism caused by the design and the brightness of the silver stamping, impact and modify the psychological perception of wine and the brand.
CHALLENGE: The main complexity we have faced in this design has been to combine two totally opposite meanings into a single graphic image. On the one hand, Rivera de Duero's wine for its millennial tradition, traditionally presents itself as a conservative product, on the other hand, Ferratus wine cellars, and in particular, wine Ferratus Sensations, is a wine author that is associated with a man or woman contemporary, modern, and sensual, as the notes of the oenological composition of Ferratus Sensaciones itself.
