PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Residence

INSPIRATION:
The spatial elements of line, plan and volume can be integrated by the composition of light and shade, and changed as the spatial coding symbols. This is a kind of elementary spatial design script that can be verified by designer's personal concepts and insights in order to construct the impressive living field for the users.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
According to the original spatial plan of L configuration, the designer wants to redefine the original spatial logic. Reconsidering the plan configuration without the restraint of the cliche design thinking way, the designer tries to embed the TV wall with bright feature in order to change the spatial circulation and vision direction.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
The establishment of designing profession is not only for the solutions of environmental and living issues, but the most important one is to express the spatial qualities and confidence for the users. The balance between the design intension and the owner's life essence must have been suffered a period of harsh time to meditate, in order to figure out the best solution for this design project.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project finished in May 2015 in Taipei City, Taiwan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
The spatial line composition can express the profound meaning and the spatial spirit according to different constructing ways with different kinds of materials. In front of the french window, the silk curtains is dropping down, the white folds piling up can express the owner's graceful personality.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The insights of the forming design principle can be used to read the coding wall in the central part of the space. The upper structure can form the 3D frame performance out of the 2D arrangement by the linear elements of dark iron material; and this forming strategy can cause the lightweight feeling to pulling up the light-colored stone element. The down side structure is made up of a plenty of straight lines, which can form a kind of plane to sustain the central and enhance the light feeling of the suspending box. The feelings between fiction and reality can be applied to differentiate the forming design principle. This same design concept has been applied for the selected lamps in the dinning room consistently.

CHALLENGE:
The inclined high ceiling with the refraction effects between light and shade can create a sort of perspective effect, which is dedicated for a part of the entrance area and implies the important position in regard to whole configuration of spatial circulation-one way is towards the stone wall in the end of public area; the other way is getting through the boundary of the dark serial frames into the private area, and eventually stopping in front of the painting wall with silent atmosphere.
