| DESIGN NAME: Together PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: This project is designed for the family with parents and three children reaching adulthood. The main focus of this project is to show how the space is shared and used by the five family members. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In the designing process, the word, "together" inspired us a lot. The horizontal plat pattern is just like the lying down "together" OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: After sharing their feelings together, everyone can return to his/her own private area, a personal private space. The youth can enjoy their time alone willfully. Everyone has his/her own secret so keeping ones own privacy is one of the most important matter as living together. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Scrape on the surface of wood material to remove the original color while giving a new mild gray shade so as to render it physical, three-dimensional, and profound. Ceramic plate, Metal, Titanium, Stone material, Wenge wood, Iron, Glass, Paint SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Total area:182 sqm TAGS: DINGRUI, Interior, Taiwan, Residential House, Together, Ding-Rui Tai RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Makes the family members able to meet one another, talk to and listen to one another at any time. Their relationship is getting more and more intimate. A house represents its inhabitant's living style. It is not a product manipulated and designed by its designer. CHALLENGE: We combined the elements of a variety of materials and had them integrated in the process of construction calculation and hidden in the bedroom behind the living room in a harmonious way to exhibit integrity and consistency on the living room wall. The connectivity and continuity of living room, dining room, kitchen, and corridor achieves the purpose of integration and hidden highlights. NAME: DINGRUI Design Studio PROFILE: DINGRUI Design Studio C.F.Tai Design Studio was organized in 1997. Renamed as “DINGRUI Design Studio” in 2008. We have our own language formed by the design to promote actions, study in space and life aesthetics, and being persistent in carrying out the design solutions. Our main business is primarily on interior design and display design of residence and the associated club house. We believe that the spirit of spatial planning is to epitomize the attitude towards life, instead of using up every corner of the space. Moderate reservation of the open space is to remain the flexible use of space on one hand, and to have the behavior patterns changed and further adjust mood and attitude on the other hand. We emphasize the principle of material utilization and focus on the coordination of the laws of nature, rather than arbitrary overlapping. |
