DESIGN NAME: Ink Development
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Office
INSPIRATION: - Late at night, more and more inspiration flows out from the pen. One glass of beer, one place to inspire new ideas. -
The owner of this case likes the infinite imagination offered by the color black. The night is perceptual, and some people like to work at night to get more inspiration.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: We apply the geometrical method to operate the stair railing; the alternating pattern of virtual and actual, with the neat shadow line, through various types of lamplight mixing with natural light, portrays a different spatial atmosphere in the space at every moment.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: We widely apply black iron material, from the facade of the office to the small details of all the handle hardware, for which we adopted iron accessories to present the design. The material retains the original natural grain of the black iron to make the space present the color change from dark to light, like ink as it is being used. The cold ironware and warm light work together to make a mysterious ink-color space that inspires the infinite creativity of the staff.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in November 2016 and completed in January 2017, and place in Taipei, Taiwan.
