| DESIGN NAME: LIPA PULP PRIMARY FUNCTION: Carbonated beverage INSPIRATION: A pattern of decorative lines and shapes have been manually drawn to boost the feeling of nature and instant refreshment. Altering the colors, three different tastes, flavors and moods have been created. The typography has straight lines but also slightly calligraphic and organic look. Black ribbon enhances the feel that this product belongs to premium category of carbonated beverages. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Lipa Pulp is carbonated beverage made from concentrated fruit juices and containing fruit pulp. The task was to design logo and eye-catching label designs for for orange, pink grapefruit and lemon flavor. Sleeve label is used for design application which enhances organic shapes and a splash of freshness. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Our design interacts with the consumers through it's bright-colored sleeve label with big portions of see through space that allows beverage liquid to be seen with pieces of natural fruit pulp moving through the bottle. Glass material enhances feel of freshness and nature. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in December 2015 in Bihac, Bosnia and Herzegovina and finished in February 2016. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Packaging material: Glass SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 55 mm x 55mm x 200 mm TAGS: lipapulp, labeldesign, sleevelabel RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research objectives were to investigate similar products and try to achieve distinction from the competition, yet to stay in line within these segment of products. We made numerous sketches of decorative lines to achieve the feel of moving pulp and somewhat exotic look. Me made product mock-ups and tested its look against cafe bar, and lounge bar environments as well as its appearance in bar refrigerators and coolers with windows to get best possible connection with the consumers. CHALLENGE: Creative challenge was to persuade the client to move into more brave and non-mainstream label design. Also we faced problems with some printers who could not overcome the problem with the calculation of design shrinking in the bottle neck area. We had finally find the print company who could overcome this issue.
