| DESIGN NAME: Icon PRIMARY FUNCTION: Faucets INSPIRATION: With their confident and precise use of geometric shapes, E.C.A. Icon Collection explores the pure, linear appeal of minimalist architecture to create a striking and alluring portfolio. Starting with the simplicity of a square or rectangle, E.C.A. Icon Collection utilizes geometric forms to their full potential and takes taps in a new direction with its clean angular lines and flat planes. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: E.C.A. Icon Collection composed of Basin, Sink and Bath Mixers reflect continuity and integrity concept hidden in the details. The dynamic and confident profiles of the body make them perfect choice for the modern spaces. An adventurous mix of lines and radial forms reflect aesthetic appearance, while smooth connections of surfaces and edges provide perfect details, clean design and brilliant shine. E.C.A. Icon mixers also add an aesthetic integrity to the areas where they are used. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: With its water-saving aerator, E.C.A. Icon Basin and Sink Mixers saving water nearly 50% and contribute to water conservation and also support green consumption. E.C.A. Icon Bath Mixer makes the user’s life easier by converting obligatory system units into functional design solutions; with its integrated system, the water is directed to hand shower by turning output 90 degrees down. Besides, thanks to its special interior structure prevents stalk warming and also skin burn. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2016 in Turkey. Products samples exhibited in ISH Frankfurt and Unicera Fair in Istanbul in 2017. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: E.C.A. Icon has a special Hygiene Plus coating which creates the most healthy environment in your bathroom thanks to Nano Technology. No chemicals needed to clean your mixers; just a cotton cloth, soap and water will make you feel the pureness. Nano Technology coating is completely harmless to human health as it does not change the chemical & hygienic form and quality of the water, approved by Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) Laboratories. Continuous lines and geometrical forms can be used simply. Medium and Tall Type Length Basin Mixers options should be presented to the users. CHALLENGE: During the design phase, simplicity and elegancy were given particular importance. Prioritising functionality and ergonomics, products are presented to the users as a new generation faucet. The design is reduced to perfectly square and radial shapes. It is a cosmopolitan offering, created to complement the most modern of interior spaces. It’s pure geometrical form and flawless surfaces radiate precision craftsmanship. NAME: E.C.A - Valfsel Armatür Sanayi A.Ş. PROFILE: Valfsel Armatur Sanayi A.S., a member of ELGINKAN GROUP, is manufacturing E.C.A. branded sanitary wares since 1978. The company, foundations of which were laid in 1957 as ECA Pres Döküm Sanayi Ltd. Şti., gained its legal entity in 1978 in İstanbul as Valfsel Armatür Sanayi A.Ş. Today with its two plants in Manisa Industrial Zone, the capacity has reached a total of manufacturing 5.000 tons of brass per year. Converted in pieces; we are able to produce 5.000.000 pieces of sanitary fittings such as faucets, sink mixers, basin mixers, bath mixers, shower mixers, bathtub mixers, electronic faucets, infrared mixers, thermostatic mixers, self closing taps, taps, shower sets, hand showers, shower columns and internal mechanisms for cisterns, etc. Today Valfsel has been employing 140 white collar and 320 blue collar employees in two plants. Along with its high capacity, Valfsel ranks among the important complete facilities when Casting, Forging, Multiple Shaft Automatic Machine, Multiple Station Processing, Polishing and Surface Coating starting from Design stage and Assembly Units finally, are taken into consideration.
