DESIGN NAME: Water For Change
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Packaging
INSPIRATION: The inspiration came from the Swedish lifestyle and nature. We wanted the design to look very honest and friendly, even naive in someway. Just like a child drawings.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Billions of non-biodegradable plastic water bottles end up in landfills each year. Millions of people die from drinking contaminated water.
“Water for Change” is an ethical company with a big heart and a passion for change. That is why the product is packed in recyclable Tetra Prisma® carton and for every “Water for Change” purchased, 10 litres of water is donated to a village in the developing world.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The wood used for the paper comes from FSC-forests. That means that all trees that are cut are also planted back. Bottle shape and size make them efficient to ship which reduces pollution.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2016 and finished in May 2016 in Riga.
