| DESIGN NAME: Blue Lake House PRIMARY FUNCTION: Architecture Interior INSPIRATION: In Beijing the haze sometimes is very serious to make people hard to breathe, and there is a lot of stress in living and working there. People really need a relaxed living environment that can truly fit in with nature.This project is located in a park surrounded by high-rise blocks which is what touched us most as soon as we took over this project. The idea that we design a space that can make people truly feel the preciousness of nature and enjoy the surrounding natural environment inspires us UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is carried out in line with respecting nature and the environment, mainly in a way of "retreating&quo OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: When wind blowing through the trees, the sunlight like a spirit, changing its form and the contrast between light and shadow, making an enlivened space that can feel changes of sunlight and seasons .To give the space a fully natural ambiance, both the interior and the exterior are decorated using solid wood enable everyone to have the full experience of the warmth of being at home. Your life in this quiet yet cultural space will turn to the experience of extreme satiation, comfort and relief. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The metal framework embedded in the main space was much like a branch shape not only plays a role in supporting the roof and major structure of the architecture, but it enables the whole roof to "float away" from structural walls. This design technique allows the sunlight to enter into the whole inner space straightaway from all directions. The light around the building like a spirit as it changes its shape, and it forms a space where illumination changes and seasonal shifts can be experienced. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 350 square meters TAGS: respecting nature, retreating, spirit, sunlight, comfort and relief, environment and nature, solid wood. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As was created things between man and nature, should be one with each other. We regard it as a design for a supreme spiritual realm. Through our design to remind people pay attention to their own environment, traditions, focus on their inner most demand, it is faith and spiritual needs. We focused on integrating life into our design, allowing our spiritual design to be absorbed into nature. Our ultimate pursuit is to appreciate, embrace and consider nature in our designs. CHALLENGE: The greatest challenge was to communicate our concept to the client and convince them during design planning. And also design a unique building that blends in with the surrounding natural world, to reduce human intervention, whilst accentuating nature, keeping a mentality of humbleness to the environment. We have eliminated the pride of the inhabitant, whilst allowing the environment to embrace the inhabitant - its natural presence allows this to happen.
