| DESIGN NAME: The Textures of the Space PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence INSPIRATION: With the black lines and white lights, the external elements of the space express the originality of the space. The residents, therefore, enjoy the pleasant living environment. The brilliant combination of the black and woods has made the furniture present the characteristic of humanity in the space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: At the entranceway, the black and straight lines make the entranceway become more appealing, effectively creating a composed medium space. By applying the black, painted at the entrance as well, the designer ingeniously connects it to the main residential space. Applying the black, same color in the entranceway, at the mail walls in the living room, the designer makes this space a consistent and attracting area. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The grey space defines the characteristics in each space. The transitions among individual spaces become attractive by delicately applying different shapes of bricks, making residents feel as if listening an amazing symphony in the space. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In the dining room, painted in white which consistently connects with the wall cabinet, the relationship between the vertical and flat gently presents the composed characteristic of the wood furniture, making the residents live in a place full of home memories. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 330 square meters TAGS: Residence RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The quality of materials present before people the originality. The interaction between the materials and lights is the main idea in this project. The unique design concept is the transformation between the materials and lights showing the residential quality. This concept, meanwhile, shows the space characteristics in materials. CHALLENGE: The large area in the main bedroom make people feel at ease. With the wood lines and lively pavements, the focus beside the window are brought to the bed area. The application of black and white, in the bed area, strengthens the composed atmosphere, bringing a stop sign for the relationship between lights and materials.
