| DESIGN NAME: Cartoon House PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Space INSPIRATION: The designer came up with the idea from cartoon collections of the client.Since the master girl loves cartoon very much,the designer decided to make a cartoon house for her,to extend the cartoon world legend in her life and realize her dream. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Wood ceiling,wall and floor made the space looked pure and clean.The crystal bed pillar match with wall decorations and furniture,while the bright yellow bell drop-light bring you back to reality.Just imagine that under the drop light,a girl is sitting by the convex window reading and thinking.When pushing the grilled door,a bright,pure wood study room show up,imagine again that a girl is sitting by the window,looking up to the ceiling,a yellow wood butterfly seems dancing trippingly,while the metal butterflies on the table are also dancing together.They seem to share a happiness youth time with their master girl.It is the cartoon house that the girl dreaming of. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This is a space private for a young girl,mostly used for resting and working.Hobby is one the most important part for one's life,especially for the only child family.while bedroom and study room may cover most of her time,why not make it interesting and comfortable place. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in early August 2016 in Shenzhen and finished in the end of September2016 in Shenzhen. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The door,cabinet,floor lamp,table lamp,toilet mirror,the old style radio,sometimes hidden in the cartoons and sometimes come out vividly.when entering the study room,the cartoon story in bedroom is extended,and you will find that leave the bookcase and table lamp alone in the cartoon world,the whole space seems becoming larger and cleaner.The translucent polycarbonate bookcase match the rough volcano background and the Ukiyoe fabric as well as the sunshine from the semi-translucent grille sliding window,the dull of wood is totally break up.The light sometimes moving and sometimes reflecting making a vivid and interesting study room. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The total area of the project is 80㎡ TAGS: muitiple function,multi-eleme RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Before starting the project,the designer communication with the client and know what kind of life she wants,what are she like best in her life.Then got the idea of making a cartoon house telling a cartoon legend. CHALLENGE: As the girl master loves cartoon very much,especially Japanese cartoon,then the designer try to express the cartoon stories from the walls by designing interesting shapes and decorating many cartoons.The suitable combination and conversion of utilitarian functionality and dramatic is the most successful part of this project.
