RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The first idea of table design Miznica was to only use wood for plates, but that narrows a range of possibilityes of serving quality meal. I was looking for idea for wet type of food or liquid food, like sauces or soup. I prefer natural material which is different as we are used to use it on table design for serving food. As interior designer I often meet material Kerrock - which is industrial stone variation. I like it very much; it could be shaped by cutting and polishing, it is hard and smoothly soft at the same time, and it is warm on the contrary of natural stone. Kerrock is a material with a wide range of usefulness. Combined with wood gives a special effect; wood still enhances its fineness.
CHALLENGE: - to involve Kerrock as a new material into serving food,
- to create sophisticated place settings on the table with traditional wooden plates - a traditional way of serving snacks and dry specialties
- to step out of the frame; to supplement an oval plate with a square and triangular plate.
