| DESIGN NAME: Pelcraft PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wall Feature INSPIRATION: Everyone is pursuing high resolution of photos, films and games in their lifestyle. On the contrary the concept of Pelcraft is intent to be entirely different to the trend of nowadays, it is a combination of modules that you select very much like mosaic or puzzle. As we believe abstraction of images or patterns is a kind of beauty which reserves a space for imagination. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Pelcraft is a platform that can let everyone who desires to create their own personalized artworks to put in the space as a wall feature, which is a break through from the conventional practice. Everyone can design and install their exclusive feature wall or artwork with a relaxing and joyful attitude in mind even with family or friends which is our design objective. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Pelcraft is like puzzle or mosaic which forms by modules, it is not limited as toys on table but in a larger scale which can put to decorate on wall in any space. This is an interactive activity that encourages families or friends to enjoy themselves while they start their innovative works on Pelcraft. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Pelcraft’s products are made from reclaimed paper because of its light-weight and handy characters, thus installation and removal work is simple and flexible. We only need to put a 3M sticker to fix when install and remove them without marking or damaging the wall. We hope this product will enable the users to enjoy the process of design to puzzle installation by themselves, it will transform to a wall feature or an artwork for appreciation when it has been hung on wall. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: There are 8 types of module with extensive range of colours and 2 sizes of module for your creation, 50mm x 50mm and 100mm x 100mm. In the near future we will keep working on different light-weight materials to offer more choices for your selection. When you use the platform of Pelcraft to create your own artwork, it can be shared to your friends or family through this web or app. During this creation process you can save your works as you create them on your own account as you might take time to complete them. Therefore, our concept of Pelcraft is entirely inspired by the above factors from complex to simple. CHALLENGE: The challenge is the used of materials, every module of Pelcraft has to be light-weight, eco-friendly and safe. As the design purpose of Pelcraft is for ordinary people to design and install, also an interactive activity especially for family and friends.
