| DESIGN NAME: River Brings New Life PRIMARY FUNCTION: Public space INSPIRATION: This project has applied the Loft style, the main tone of design, that brings into existence the pleasant and relaxing living atmosphere different from most of the intensive styles, by means of the building facade, interior landscapes, and spatial design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Being consistent with the extensive courtyard landscapes around this building, the independent club, on the second floor, creates the harmonious visual effect between the indoor and outdoor space, throughout the design of modern-style ceiling windows on three distinguished directions. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The black wall, along the staircase, is full of written mathematical equations, so that the duplicate of classroom are brought into existence. In the meantime, with the outdoor landscapes and sky, and the variations of lights and shadows following the clock ticking, the second floor, in compound functions for reading and workout gym, generates the diversified sense of space for different users while meeting the living mechanisms in the meantime. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The suspended staircase, made of ironworks and wooden materials, has brought out the sense of lissome and upward great pleasure. The black wall, along the staircase, is full of written mathematical equations, so that the duplicate of classroom are brought into existence. In the meantime, with the outdoor landscapes and sky, and the variations of lights and shadows following the clock ticking, the second floor, in compound functions for reading and workout gym, generates the diversified sense of space for different users while meeting the living mechanisms in the meantime. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1754 square meters TAGS: Public space RESEARCH ABSTRACT: At the vast courtyard, the surrounding u-shape water pool has infused the outdoor community space invigorating fresh atmosphere. The relaxing and pleasant living atmosphere is brought into existence by planting a number of shrubs and arbors, and randomly placing tables and chairs. The area, intersected by the back courtyard and flowing water, functions for weakening the boundaries between different areas by installing the transparent glass wall, which connects the indoor and outdoor space while appreciating the ecosystem and landscapes in the meantime. CHALLENGE: Being consistent with the extensive courtyard landscapes around this building, the independent club, on the second floor, creates the harmonious visual effect between the indoor and outdoor space, throughout the design of modern-style ceiling windows on three distinguished directions.
