| DESIGN NAME: Concave Convex PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunction Bucket INSPIRATION: When we are carrying buckets, water will easily split from the buckets because of our shaking hands, thus resulting in wetting out our trousers and shoes; when we are using buckets to wash small sized clothes, because the water level is very low, we need to bend down, leaving an ache in our waist and back. Therefore, we adopted silica gel to be the raw material of the bottom of buckets, with a view to maximize the utilization value of buckets. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Applying the features of silica gel on bucket endows bucket with two additional functions. Firstly, when carrying water, the water level will be lower, which can not only easily prevent the water from splashing thus wetting our trousers and shoes, but also reduce the waste of water. Secondly, turn the bucket upside down, and it can serve as a basin for us to wash some small sized clothes. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: When the bucket is filled with water, the weight of water will push the silica gel downward to lower the water level, so as to prevent it from splitting out.When the bucket is overturned, push the silica gel into the bucket to form a basin. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main body of the bucket is made of PC material, and the bottom is made of silica gel, so that the bottom can be push up or down freely. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Upper part diameter:320mm*Botto TAGS: Bucket, Concave Convex, Silica gel, Multi function, separate RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In our daily life, when we are carrying water, water will usually splash from the bucket. Therefore, we try to use the simplest method to solve this problem. Through experiments, we find that the feature of silica gel can well solve the problem. By virtue of the softness of silica gel and hardness of PC, we can be worry free now. Concavo convex is a multi purpose bucket. Its major functions are prevent water from splashing and both the top and the bottom can be used. Our objective is to invent a product which can simplify the bucket and save water as well as meet the market trend and demands. To create a bucket in the simplest way has an important influence on our daily life. CHALLENGE: The design of “concave convex” improves the using functions of traditional buckets. Researches show that when people are carrying the bucket with water in it, water will easily split from the bucket. Therefore, our goal is to make full use of the features and forms of silica gel to maximize the utilization ratio of buckets.
