DESIGN NAME: Circle
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sitting Unit
INSPIRATION: My starting point was designing an office furniture that will be seperated from other routinised office furnitures. I realized there is no product for functioning as a socializing and working unit. Group work is an essential for offices and the furnitures are generally emphasizes individualism. I focused on two idea; one of them is designing modular work spaces, other one is bringing working and resting areas together.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: “Circle” is dissociate from other chairs by its details and functions. It functions as encouraging socializing and supporting work efficiency. Product's size, material and colors are picked carefully for office environments. It is available for sitting in multiple directions and for creating different placements.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Circle offers many different combinations; it can be used by its dual and quad combinations or it can combined with office desks.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Rotational molding is preferred for production of main body. The shell will be styrene-acrylonitrile resin (San) and it will be filled with polyurethane (Pu). With this method, body will be stronger and durable rather than plywood. Molding preferred as a production technique because inflection point is critical and it shouldn't be able to crack. Legs will be aluminium and cushion will be polyurethane molded and covered with fabric.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimensions are W 1150 mm x D 1150 mm x H 740 mm. It will be packaged demounted, legs will be screwed after unpacking. Packaging sizes are W 1150 mm x D 1150 mm x H 450 mm.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: After I choose my general topic I made field research for determining missing spots in an office. I have visited several different offices and observe both resting and working areas. I made interviews with employees and observe their one day of working. I took pictures and short videos. I also observe the behaviors of visitors. Then I decide on there is no space for working in pairs with joy. I decide to design an office unit which can be used in many different tasks and make boring and relaxing stuff together in some way.
CHALLENGE: The most challenging part was finding the main issue and missing spot in office life, because everybody is generally so committed to work and they don't realize that working can be fun.
