DESIGN NAME: Golden Harvest Citywalk
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cinema
INSPIRATION: Golden Harvest Citywalk has been designed with a new experience of a modern cinema. It gives off a chic, hip and elegant atmosphere, We have used the public corridor that runs through the centre and combined it with the surrounding public space with a sculptured ceiling, by using an organic form and a dynamic design to create a pattern that flows throughout to unify the same space and creating a smooth orientation for the customers.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: We have renovated Golden Harvest Citywalk which is located inside a shopping centre by giving it a refreshing new look. The entrance uses various types of materials such as rose-gold anodised stainless steel, walnut timber, white aluminium cladding, tinted glass for the lighting feature and a combination of marble flooring. By incorporating all these materials together transforms the interior into a superior and stylish cinema. The use of these materials and colours help reflect on each other, instantly making the interior enhance spaciousness.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: We have created a sculptured ceiling with a dynamic design to form a pattern that flows from the box office to the houses to unify the same space and creating a smooth orientation for the customers. The use of lines on the ceiling and walls also help enhance the cinema space. Along with white tones to create a minimalistic and clean finis.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We wanted to create an atmosphere of wonder and curiosity as the customers walk into the cinema, a similar feeling people would feel before they watch a film. Therefore the continuous linear lines helps emphasis this concept.
CHALLENGE: The challenge for this project was time. As our client had to keep their business open whilst renovating, we therefore had to split our schedule into three parts. This was a time consuming project as we had to work together and not cause any mistakes as this would of then slowed down the process of renovation.
