| DESIGN NAME: Qoobi One PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wireless Tube Pre Amp INSPIRATION: Qoobi design was inspired by unforgotten school stereometry lessons, ice cubes in a glass of whisky, early works of Victor Vasarely, Hayao Miyazaki animation, Star Wars movies, cold and aloof Scandinavian electronic music as the January morning. And of course, fulfilled with overwhelming desire to break down stereotypes and to make the product that totally differs from everything that has been created in this class of devices. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The best heritage analog audio technologies combined with ultra-modern wireless solutions and implemented in innovative conceptual design, unprecedented in this segment of electronic audio devices. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: You play your favorite track from your smartphone. It wirelessly goes through a Bluetooth connection to Qoobi. Lifeless digital music defrosts and re-assembles with high-end Qoobi vacuum tube technology. Emotional and colorful live sound is transmitted to your home audio system. You hear the music exactly as it was created by musicians in the studio. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Work on the project began in February 2015. Qoobi is almost ready as working prototype. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Qoobi design contrastively and seamlessly combined two elements and two worlds: sharp shape of metal polyhedron placed into the glass prism. The body is made of light alloy anodized aluminum which also works as a convection radiator for heated tubes, which allows to ensure stable and continuous operation. Glass prism made by state-of-the-art extrusion technology from the finest high strength quartz glass. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 268mm x Depth 130mm x Height 108mm TAGS: device, Bluetooth, audio, analog, tube, sound, innovation, music, high-end, design RESEARCH ABSTRACT: During the project, we made a series of technical researches and created a unique design for the product. During multiple tests and after consulting leading technical experts in audio equipment field we received over 70% of positive feedbacks and become fully convinced that our product is unique by its design and performance criteria. CHALLENGE: The toughest part of the project was to find the best possible size for the product, to select naturally matching materials and to finally create fully working prototype. NAME: Qoobi B.V. PROFILE: Qoobi B.V. is a Holland based audio-tech startup located in Almere near Amsterdam. Qoobi was founded in 2016 by three enthusiasts with the desire to create a company that could design, technically develop and produce high-tech audio devices. Qoobi mission is to give people opportunity to wirelessly enjoy music not only on a small portable Bluetooth speakers, but to enjoy Hi-End tube sound on their home stereo systems with the same quality as more expensive audio devices. |
