| DESIGN NAME: Flipp Chair PRIMARY FUNCTION: Folding Chair INSPIRATION: Flipp Chair developed with compact, storage and movable ideas, after studying the moving flow and requirement of any event. Flipp chair is everyday chair with minimalist design yet comfortable with characteristic shape, A chair that creates a perfect image within any space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Flipp Chair is appearance refreshment for an essential piece of furniture, the folding chair. By giving a new unique structure and maintaining simplicity and lightness of traditional folding chair and Inspired by modern Japanese furniture, Flipp Chair designed to be a multi-purpose furniture, easy to carry, compact yet elegant, can adapts to any space, with attractive finishes. Flipp Chair is for everyday events and great for unexpected guests. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Easy to carry, compact yet elegant folding chair with unique three legged structure, can adapts to any space. Attractive finishes and strong for everyday events and great for unexpected guests. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Solid beech, Solid oak wood or Epoxy/polyester powder coating SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 52cm x Depth 59cm x Height 74cm TAGS: flipp, fold, fold chair, three legs, poles, flippchair, flipchair RESEARCH ABSTRACT: If it’s outdoor wedding, indoor play, just unexpected guests at your condo, whatever the occasion. Temporary furniture should adopt to the space and event in practical as well as distinctive seating solution but unfortunately they are not, and by giving a new structure and maintaining simplicity and lightness of traditional folding chair Flipp Chair brings together function, minimalism and comfort in an eye-catching solution. CHALLENGE: Studying the folding system with a three legs structure and keep the balancing and safety of user, yet keep the chair compact, lightweight and attractive not like any other temporary furniture item. NAME: Mhd Al Sidawi PROFILE: Furniture and Interior designer based in Istanbul/Turkey, graduated from Damascus University, Faculty of Fine Art in 2011. Worked on various (Residential, hospitality and commercial) local and regional projects during practice in Damascus and Istanbul. With an aim to create a beautiful and functional spaces / objects that tell a story and reflect culture, traditions and details. Currently I’m head of design at Beytist Interior Design Studio based in Istanbul - Turkey, a studio focus on luxury residential projects. |
