| DESIGN NAME: Sisidyll PRIMARY FUNCTION: Skin Care INSPIRATION: The product is berry based, so we wanted to give it a fruity feel but not in an overt way. This meant creating a form with a clear organic influence and employing clever colour accents. With that we used a frosted acrylic with a purple insert giving the jars a subtle diffused burst of colour and vitality. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Sisidyll, a blueberry skin care brand approached us to revitalize the brand in a modern and refreshing way, alluding to its berry origins in a subtle and sophisticated fashion. Both the form and colour palette realize this, supported by the hand lettered brand mark and insignia. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Both bottles are pump operated. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2015 in Australia and was launched in September 2016 in Australia and China. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Packaging Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The jars are made from frosted acrylic with a coloured polypropylene insert and lid. The bottles are blow-molded polypropylene. The box which each product is housed in is in two shades of purple and features a subtle high-build varnish and emboss, while the inside of the box is paler shade of purple. The bottles and jars are designed in a complimentary, paler shade of purple. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The 50ml jars are 71mm wide and 42mm high. The 30ml bottle is 33mm wide and 97mm high. The 100ml bottle is 40mm wide by 175mm high. TAGS: Skin care, natural beauty, nature, natural RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As the project was a rejuvenation it was important to understand the brands journey and where the client expected it to go. While the products single most important ingredient is blueberry the client wanted to move away from a berry image and replace it with something that told the brand's story of the two partners from different continents coming together with a shared passion for natural beauty. With that we created the brand insignia, two interwoven 'S's' CHALLENGE: Ensuring exacting details were maintained at manufacture.
