DESIGN NAME:
Little Tu

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Lamp Vase

INSPIRATION:
Flower. But before the hands plunging into the ground. There they free themselves. They relax and pug water, ground and rubble. Then they seed that love which every morning pushes you to have a look at what you are looking after. The tension that something has broken. But then...the happiness in the little flower that has grown thanks to you. That flower you have given care and warmness to. The same ones which deserve light. Little Tu, your shape of love.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Little Tu is a led lamp/vase which can be used as a table or an applique lamp. Light accompanies the growing of the plant softly without invading its space and creates plays of lights. For the simplicity in its dimension and shape it fits to living space and indoor gardens. The essence of the project lies in the simple but strong link between nature and artifice. Besides a lamp and vase, Little tu can be defined as a fittings with a smart shape.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Little Tu intends to be something more than a simple source of light. Its design is the clear desire to express a presence not only through light, but with a component living, real and naturalistic (a plant) maintaining in any case the ornamental beauty of an object of well dom and unique design. It’s perfect as a table lamp or an applique thanks to its shape lively, changeable and exciting with a functionality either aesthetic or technical. For its intimist, warm and suffused light Little tu is ideal to give the right atmosphere in your holiday house, halls of hotels, conference rooms, offices, terraces and living rooms.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started on January 2016 and finished on October 2016 in Naples.

FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY:

The electric installation with a 12V feeder is located far from moisture sources or surplus of watering, while the waterproof led strips are located in the parallelepiped in corian.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
How can we combine nature and artifice without altering their singleness? We can’t avoid existing without both the sources: natural and artificial ones. Why don’t we let them coexist, without overcomings? Little tu is a new challenge of experimentation convivial and planning: let light illuminate nature or nature be the new form of light, shadows, reflexes and colours. On condition that they express themselves in unison.

CHALLENGE:
For its simple design, but not for this banal, Little tu has never created any difficulties to the artisans for the processing either of the wood or of the corian. The project has been realized in a very short time. The legislative practicability is guaranteed, as there are totally certified elements, either for the realization of the body of the lamp or for the electric installation.
