| DESIGN NAME: Grow Up PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional Chair INSPIRATION: When the child was four years old, I found the house children's chairs have not used,when I want to put children's chairs for others, other parents also had this trouble, so I consider whether to do a multifunctional chair, to achieve sustainable use, reduce waste. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The rapid growth and development of children shorten the children products' life , resulting in a waste of resources . The children's dinning chair is designed into a dual-purpose chair through a reverse way to prolong the service life of the chair.From parenting chair to the adult chair , the change of this two using ways witnessed the parental process . OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The upper and lower two sides of the chair can be turned over to realize two different functions, one end can be used for children, and the other end can be used for adults. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2015 in Fushun China and finished in August 2016 in Fushun China. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The whole frame of the chair can be used wood or bamboo material, and combined with the hemp compiled. The bamboo rope and other materials were sustainable environmental protection material, Chinese abound. NAME: Liaoning Shihua University PROFILE: Liaoning Shihua University (LSHU) is located in Fushun, overlooking the scenic banks of the Hunhe River. It enjoys a beautiful campus environment. LSHU was originally founded in Dalian in 1950 as the first petroleum school of New China. In 1953 the school was relocated to Fushun and in 1958 it was upgraded to Fushun Petroleum Institute. In February 2000 its leadership was transferred to the People’s Government of Liaoning Province, in light of the management system of “simultaneous construction by central and local governments, with the local government playing a more prominent role”. In October of the same year, Fushun Coal Industry School was incorporated into Fushun Petroleum Institute; in February 2002, with the approval of the Ministry of Education (MOE), Fushun Petroleum Institute was renamed as Liaoning Shihua University. Since its establishment 64 years ago, LSHU has educated more than 100,000 graduates, most of whom are now undertaking leading roles in management and technology in various fields such as petroleum, petrochemical engineering and the coal industry. |
