| DESIGN NAME: Osteria by angie PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restaurant INSPIRATION: The designer aims to keep the restaurant’s classy yet casual style, where the concept of sharing and warmth set the tone. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Unlike the other two independently located restaurants, the third Osteria by Angie restaurant is located in a department store. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The few scarlet dining chairs by the bar and the red chandeliers bring warmth and joy to the dining space. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2015 and finished in January 2016 in Taipei. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The meshed metal sign, light white wood and light gray floors are contrasted with dark milky tiles. The delightful and pleasant visual image attracts crowds. The warm golden metal cubes extend from the entrance display area to the high-ceiling space. Reflections of lights from the wall mirrors bring liveliness to the stylish space. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: A skylight is designed, where cables are hidden by dark blue ash paint. The accessible open kitchen and pizza-making table make the dining experience fun and enjoyable. Metal frames adorn the walnut color tables. TAGS: Food Culture , Restaurant , Doricious , Interior space , Food and Beverage, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Youthful and modern elements are added to fit the shopping mall’s atmosphere. CHALLENGE: In order to deal with its limited space and fierce competitors, the restaurant needs to emphasize its unique features to attract department store crowds.
