| DESIGN NAME: My Dino Series PRIMARY FUNCTION: Modular wooden toy INSPIRATION: The concept of modularity in toys is popular for a good reason - It is fun and promotes continuous creative activity for the child user. However, most modular toys are made with plastic and other synthetic materials. Wooden modular toys are often overly simple and do not offer activities beyond stacking. My intention was to bring the idea of configurable modularity in a wooden toy. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The EQB Dino series is a quality wooden toy which utilizes EQB's proprietary Smart Joint - a genderless snap joint, to allow endless building possibilities. By eliminating separate male and female part, any joint can be connected to any other joint, allowing wider building possibilities. The competing collection is a series of three dinosaur toys that can easily break down to block elements and rebuilt into another dinosaur.
