| DESIGN NAME: Chaos in Black and White PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sample House INSPIRATION: With the progress of information technology, the Generation Y have developed their firmly-connected relationship with internet since in childhood. Those people, as Generation Y who have diverse life styles, want to realize their experiences to their living places from the atmospheres of modern, fashion, modernization, and globalization. In this project, we shall represent a living place, with the fashionable elements, in specific model. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The sample house, in this project, is particularly designed for the young people who buy their residence first time. The designer magnifies the views to different spaces by combining black and white. The designer, in the meantime, builds up a living space with comfort and diversity, which correspond to the contemporary spirit of living, in a simple appearance by utilizing different parts of lines that physically and visually become the elements in the residence. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The house integrated black and white, and diverse elements. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in January 2014 in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: When going in the sample house, we can see the connection relationship between the living room, kitchen, and study room, in a public area. The fringed curtains, meanwhile, intensify the atmosphere in the overall public space. In an area built fundamentally with white walls, ceiling and polished floor, the design that decorates the TV with irregular-shaped marbles and black mirrors. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 661 square meters TAGS: Residential Space RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Different from the public area which is designed for a cold style by using rocks, concrete and mirrors, the bedroom is designed into a space furnished with black and white, a number of timbers, and wooden veneers that make the space a sense of warm humanity. In the meantime, the stretch fabric walls, irregular lines segments, and trapezoid closets, generate more possibilities beyond imaginations. CHALLENGE: The abundant elements and simplicity with practical functions create the living experiences, as if living in big cities such as New York and Tokyo, by furnishing the inner space with bookcase which is made by different plywood, with modern black-leathered couches, and irregular metallic lightings.
